Choose your own way of embodied healing through…

Listening & Speaking

We can use our voice to speak to and externalize the feelings and states we are experiencing as we incorporate music that holds meaning for you. This naturally enhances our ability to engage and speak authentically with our loved ones and in our larger communities. We’ll both practice listening and speaking with presence and somatic awareness to cultivate connection. We can also expand the use of our voices through reading lyrics aloud, poetry, humming, singing, or simply adding noises and audio patterns in the moment.

Movement & Dance

Allowing our bodies to hold on and let go with a song physically can amplify what we feel emotionally. We can then both experience it more deeply and move through it with more understanding, satisfaction, and self-compassion. You’ll have the opportunity to play Somatic Music Therapy games that allow you to have fun embodying and moving to your songs and within your comfort zone. Positive side-effects may also include gaining more charisma, clarity to make decisions, and deepening your ability to emotionally connect with others virtually and in real life.

Sensory Engagement

WITH OUR (REAL-LIFE) ENVIRONMENT

Playing with things/stimuli in the non-virtual world that we can somatically sense allows us to organically sync our rhythm with our environment to find our center of gravity. Examples include incorporating found objects, plants or animals in our space, musical instruments, or creating visual art. Through this kind of sensory engagement, our breathing and heartbeats can find a soundwave to ride to bring us back to a state of curiosity and joy.
